Depending what you call “serving the community”. If you want to become a social worker, your advanced degree should include social work and/or psychology, and you could integrate with the social services in your area.

If serving your community means working with the local government, i.e. politics – you might want to first have a taste of what it’s like to work in this environment – it is very different than education and involves a lot of hot air.

To avoid disillusion, try and volunteer in the offices of the party you support, and pursue an admin job to begin with. It’s a great way to know more about the ropes and the insides of any organisation.

There are several organization who helps people with deaf. One of its kind which teach them in animation field, is an institute in bangalore(DPOD Studio) where they teach students with disabilitities in Maya, 3D Max, photoshop, Film making and so on.

the primary function of education is KNOWLEDGE. KNowledge of what? KNowledge of SELF. THe BLACK SELF. THe black genetic, historical and SPIRITUAL SELF. KNowlegde of the UNIVERSE and our place in it. BUt we are being “educated” by the enemy/oppressor. ANd we are never taught anything about ourselves. IN fact the more you advance through his “education” system, the more you learn to DISOWN your people in favor of acceptance into the white corporate world
